Today, as the world marks World Environment Day, we at GreenBridge are proud to celebrate not just the planet—but the people who are choosing to build a sustainable future, one step at a time.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a remarkable response to our GreenBridge course. Out of over 129 people who expressed interest, 67 passionate individuals enrolled, signaling that the desire to understand and act on environmental issues is growing stronger.
So far, we’ve delivered two powerful classes—one on the Circular Economy, and the other on Waste Management. I had the honor of facilitating the Waste Management module and interacting directly with our learners. What struck me most is the genuine passion and intentionality of our participants. These are not just people passing through a course; they are emerging changemakers committed to action.
One of the highlights for me has been the task submissions after each module. It’s one thing to learn about waste recovery; it’s another to start doing something with it. One participant, Chidera, submitted a hair tag crafted entirely from waste materials—a beautiful and functional piece that represents creativity, sustainability, and impact.
This kind of initiative tells me that unlocking the green economy at scale is not a dream—it’s a decision. When we equip people with the right knowledge and community support, they don’t just learn—they act.
As we move forward, our goal remains clear: to bring more people into the green space, to equip them with relevant skills, and to support them in building sustainable, impactful ventures. The momentum is here, and with continued collaboration, we are confident of achieving even greater impact.
